The article explains the impact of implementing solar
technologies towards three big cities in Italy with a high population density. Buildings
and transports in the three Italian cities contributes the most carbon
emissions. They have set to follow the guidelines created by Renewable Energy
Sources (RES), who regulates urban policies, to ensure that adopting renewable
energy such as implementing “wind energy appliances” in a city is suitable to its
surroundings. By installing Photovoltaic (PV) to convert into solar energy to produce
heat will reduce the carbon compound. With an increasing interest in solar
technology nowadays, implementing it in a city will reduce carbon,
manufacturing cost will be affordable, and attains sustainable energy. They will
be in line with RES policies “set by European Strategy 20-20-20” goals. The
article provides statistical results of the three cities in Italy to show the possibility
of reducing carbon compound by implementing solar energy. However, factors
affecting the results to implement solar technology in three different Italian
cities is due to the building conditions, weather conditions and different
sustainable targets by the local energy production.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Baisurah, for this fairly clear and concise summary of the article. It seems fine and informative, though its focus is only tangentially related to your team's project. Note too that your citation isn't fully aligned with APA style. Still, I appreciate your effort.
Hi Baizurah,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this article. I really hope the idea of renewable energy would work one day.
Cheers,
